Background

Dexion Group supplies state-of-the-art industrial storage and materials handling solutions for warehouse and distribution environments, enabling businesses to increase capacity, productivity and efficiency.

Dexion Group decided to outsource their I.T to an external managed services provider. They went to the market to evaluate and shortlist providers with a very tight time frame for infrastructure support to ensure business as usual. They ultimately chose Lanrex based on our track record. 

They asked us to help them address specific I.T issues such as cyber security risks and transparent reporting. They also want us to transition support and consultation services smoothly from their internal I.T infrastructure and users to Lanrex with limited documentation and no business disruption.

 

How We Went About It

We commenced with a kick off meeting for all stakeholders, including a staff -get-to-know-Lanrex session outlining why their management had engaged us and what we were expected to achieve and improve. This is a crucial step we do with our clients to ensure everyone is on the same page.

The next step was a 6-week site and system assessment. Then, finally, a risk analysis was made to let Dexion Group know what we had inherited in terms of systems and business resilience before planning the actual “go-live”.

 

The Solution

The dedicated Lanrex team assigned to Dexion Group clearly defined all service inclusions and their environment and systems were documented and communicated. We reviewed and upgraded their ability to recover from an outage or unforeseen event. They were also moved to an ‘unlimited’ fixed fee per user consumption service model to manage their expenses better. Lanrex addressed all I.T issues and transitioned Dexion Group from their existing I.T infrastructure to Lanrex seamlessly and smoothly, without business disruption.
